King's House Hotel, Glencoe

11-15 May 1994

The Team

Brian, John, Nigel, Paul Gardiner and Sid

The Walks

On the first day the group walked over from the hotel to the Blackwater Reservoir and back.

Then on Friday it was decided to tackle Ben Nevis; cars were taken to the far side of Fort William, and the ascent was begun before high winds caused most of the party to turn back. Brian and Paul went on to Ben Nevis via its North-East ridge and met the rest of the group later.

On the final day a more leisurely walk was taken on the far side of Loch Linnhe (Brian driving only, as incapacitated, having caused damage to a toe during the night while under the affluence of incohol).

A refinement to the previous year's Scottish travel arrangements was the renting of a minibus at Glasgow rather than two cars. Sid still didn't seem to enjoy the experience.
